Football - Mirallas keen on Blues stay

Kevin Mirallas is confident Everton boss David Moyes will extend his stay at the club beyond the summer.

The Scot's future at Goodison Park has been the subject of much speculation after he insisted last week that he would wait to see how the team performed over the final weeks of the campaign before deciding whether to sign a new contract.

Moyes, who will begin his 12th year in charge next month, is continually linked with the Premier League's biggest jobs, but winger Mirallas thinks Everton is where he belongs.

The Belgium international, who joined the club from Olympiacos last summer, said in the Liverpool Post: "Of course I would be keen if he signed, he showed confidence in me by bringing me to the club.

"He has been at Everton for many years and is very popular with the fans, chairman and players and I am sure he will sign, I cannot see why he wouldn't because of those reasons."
