The striker limped out of Saturday's 1-0 friendly defeat to Huddersfield with the problem and the Millers are keen to check the extent of the damage.
"He felt his hamstring a little bit so we brought him off as a precaution and now we'll just be able to see how it settles down overnight and assess him again on Sunday," assistant Paul Raynor said.
"Hopefully it will be good news, but it's a bit of a concern when a player goes down clutching their hamstring like that."
The Millers went down to Martin Paterson's late goal at New York Stadium as their unbeaten start to pre-season came to an end.
