Football - Robinson keen to push Lions on

Millwall skipper Paul Robinson has urged his side to build on their back-to-back wins having finally got their season up and running.

The Lions were rock bottom after failing to win any of their first six matches, and fans were calling for manager Steve Lomas' head after the recent 5-1 home defeat by Derby.

But victories over Blackpool and Charlton in the space of five days have left the future looking a lot brighter at The Den.

"It was a huge team effort against Charlton and once we went in front you could see how much the players wanted it," said Robinson.

" We wanted to back up Tuesday's result against Blackpool and we didn't really need any motivation coming into the game.

"The intensity we've shown in the last two games is our benchmark now and we have to build from here and try to keep pushing up the table."
