Gillespie confirms having 'positive' talks with Strauss over England head coach job

London, May 23 (ANI): Former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie has confirmed that he has had a good and positive chat with ECB's Director for Cricket Andrew Strauss on the possibility of him assuming the role of head coach of the England squad. Strauss had recommended the 40-year-old former cricketer as a potential candidate to take over from Peter Moores, who was sacked by the ECB earlier this month, reports the BBC. The Yorkshire coach said that he had had a good chat with Strauss and the ECB about the job, and would see how it panned out from there. Previously, Gillespie had called his Yorkshire coach role his "dream job," saying that England would have to persuade him to leave it. (ANI)
