The 23-year-old American posted a four-under 68 for a 15-under total of 273 and a two-shot victory.

Uihlein birdied four of his last eight holes and took the lead when Morten Orum Madsen - in the group before - slipped out of a tie for the lead when he hit a double bogey on the 18th.

The Dane finished tied for second with overnight leader Mark Tullo of Chile at Santo da Serra.

Tullo had a hole-in-one on the par-three fourth but three bogeys followed.

Uihlein will move inside the top 150 in the world rankings. His previous best on the European Tour was fourth at this year's Tshwane Open.
