Hernandez regains WBC light-fly title

Adrian Hernandez regained his WBC light-flyweight title from Kompayak Porpramook with a sixth-round stoppage in Toluca.

Mexican Hernandez lost his belt to Thai Porpramook on his home turf in Bangkok when he was knocked out in the 10th round in December last year.

With the roles reversed in Mexico, Hernandez (25[16]-2-1) lost the first round but was in the ascendancy from that point on, sending Porpramook (46[31]-4) to the canvas in the third.

Porpramook was caught again by a right hand in the sixth and went down against the ropes, causing the referee to step in.
