Burnley boss Eddie Howe is remaining coy on the future of on-loan Millwall forward Josh McQuoid.
The 22-year-old was reunited with former Bournemouth boss Howe when he joined the Clarets on a 93-day loan last month and has impressed in a string of accomplished displays, culminating with a starring role in last week's 2-0 victory over Barnsley.
"I thought Josh really did stand out in that game," Howe told the Lancashire Telegraph. "It was his best game for us, playing on the left he linked really well with the centre forwards and I think his confidence has grown the longer he's been here."
He added: "He's now part of the team so we're really pleased for him."
McQuoid could only watch from the sidelines as his parent club recorded a surprise 3-1 win at Turf Moor at the weekend and Howe believes talk of a permanent move to Lancashire could be premature at this stage.
"It's too early," he added: "He's still Millwall's player. He's done really well and fitted in really well to the team and what we're trying to build. But as for beyond his loan spell, that's for another day."
