Colin Kazim-Richards claims manager Steve Kean is unaffected by on-going speculation over his future at Blackburn.

Kean's embattled reign at Ewood Park was once again thrust under the microscope at the weekend when Shebby Singh told a fans' forum that the Scot would be sacked if he lost three consecutive early season games in the npower Championship - comments Rovers' global advisor has subsequently apologised for.

Kazim-Richards is no stranger to off-field turbulence following spells with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, and credits Kean as a key factor in him deciding to return to England on a season-long loan from the latter Turkish giant.

"I don't want to be like 'he ain't going nowhere' or 'yeah, he's staying' - I just get along with football," said the London-born Turkey international. "Obviously it is upsetting sometimes because he is the man that if I did have any doubts (about joining Blackburn) they got straightened out straight away after speaking to him for, I swear to you, about a minute.

"For the respect of him to actually call me, that showed a mountain of a man to me because not a lot of managers actually do that.

"I don't know what's going on in the board room but all I can say is that he doesn't show it and it doesn't affect him out on the pitch and the way he coaches. It doesn't affect him around the players."
