Benat looks likely to be sold this summer as he enters the final year of a contract that, after season’s worth of negotiations, has failed to be extended.
Former club Athletic had reportedly already had one offer of €8m turned down in recent weeks, whilst previous speculation has paired Arsenal, Liverpool and Wolfsburg with the 26-year-old.
However, Cope Sevilla understand that a second €8m bid has been accepted, with variables included that could take the total eventual payment to as high as €12m.
It is also understood that Benat, who was released from Athletic in 2009, has agreed a five-year deal to return to San Mames this summer.
Estadio Deportivo had reported earlier in the week that Premier League side West Ham were also interested in making a move for the 26-year-old, having scouted him in recent games alongside Championship outfit Bolton.
