The player, who turns 22 today, was reported over the weekend as travelling out to Seville to undergo a medical and complete formalities before becoming the club’s fifth signing of the summer.
Betis have today confirmed the transfer’s completion, which is reported to have been agreed at a €1 million (£0.84m) fee.
The Chilean international, who plays as a defensive midfielder, was also quoted by the club via a statement today.
“For me to sign with Real Betis is a big jump in both my footballing and personal life,” Reyes said.
“I hope to live up to the expectations that they have for me.
“I consider myself a versatile player that is available to all my team mates and willing to help in all areas, with physical work and a good touch with the ball.
“My serious nature? The truth is that it is a trait that is discussed a lot, but more than to talk about it I have come to prove it on the field.”
