Los Blancos are reported to be interested in bringing the Welsh international to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and Figo believes he would fit in well with the current squad.
“Everybody seems to be talking about him. He has some impressive qualities,” said Figo, who was speaking at a golf charity day in aid of his Foundation.
“We would need to see how he does in La Liga if he comes from England, but he is used to playing at a high level and I think he would adapt very well in Madrid.”
Figo, 40, whose glittering playing career saw him represent Sporting Lisbon, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter, was asked if he might return to Madrid in some capacity one day.
“I live my life and at the moment I’m focused more on my activities outside football. Would I like to? I’ll keep that to myself,” he said.
