The 28-year-old has posted a picture of himself in his new colours, with a message to fans saying: “It’s done”.

Hoarau has signed a three-year deal, while his salary is a reported £3.25 million a year.

The striker had scored 38 league goals for PSG since his 2008 arrival, and represented the national team on five occasions, but had been marginalised since the Ligue 1 leaders spent heavily thanks to funds from their Qatari owners.

Hoarau played only 118 minutes in six league games this season, scoring one goal, as coach Carlo Ancelotti preferred Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Kevin Gameiro and even winger Jeremy Menez at the front.

The towering striker joined PSG in 2008 from second division Le Havre, and scored 38 goals in 114 appearances for the capital club.

Hoarau joins the likes ex-Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita and Fabio Rochemback at Dalian Aerbin, who have risen swiftly through the leagues in China and were fifth in the top flight in 2012.
