Ling to continue normal Torquay routine

Martin Ling

Torquay manager Martin Ling insists his squad's pre-match routine will be unchanged for the npower League Two play-off semi-final against Cheltenham.

The Gulls go into Sunday's first leg having held a firm grip on second spot as the campaign entered the home straight, before failing to win any of their final five matches to miss out on a top-three finish on the final day of the regular season.

"The plan is to keep things as normal as we can," Ling told Torquay's official website.

"There is a circus developing in terms of media but we try to keep the players away from that as much as we can. We will be training in the same places, at the same venues and it will be the same type of training.

"In all our minds, we know it is an important game but the players understand normality has got us to where we are. Some people may choose to go away for a couple of days but we've kept it bubbling along and light-hearted.

"We will stick to the same because the same has been successful."
