Managers: Pardew delight at side

Newcastle United 3-0 Stoke City

Alan Pardew: "(Going fourth) is a big, big achievement by us, make no mistake. I am pretty sure Liverpool can't catch us and to finish above them, regardless of their cup exploits, is still outstanding. Whatever we do now, it's an outstanding season. But of course, we haven't lost sight of what the city hasn't lost sight of. You can feel it in the crowd, you can feel it in the city, that there's a chance for us to do something really special, and we will go to Wigan and try to achieve that."

Tony Pulis: "Jon Walters really could have scored a hat-trick by himself. The main difference was they got in good scoring opportunities and hit the target; we got in good scoring opportunities and we didn't hit the target. I don't think their keeper had a save to make. I am not picking on Jon - Jon has been fantastic for us. He's a great lad and he kept going and kept going. But he had three great chances today by himself, never mind the rest of the team."

Queens Park Rangers 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Mark Hughes: "It was difficult circumstances. Once again we've gone down to 10 men, but I thought we were by far the better team anyway and it would have been travesty if we hadn't won the game. Each and every one put a real shift in. The fans drove us on and it's a fantastic night. We've made another statement. People wrote us off too regularly when they saw our run-in. We knew we've got quality and with the desire and determination we've got, everyone has seen we're a team out there."

Harry Redknapp: ""We had enough of the ball and enough chances - I don't think Brad (Friedel) has had a save to make in all honesty, we just couldn't score. We just couldn't get the break, we just needed a bit of luck in front of goal today. I had no options forwards-wise on the bench, there was one striker fit and there was no one else to play with him. Really we had no cover at centre-half and no cover up front. No disrespects to the bench but it is nowhere near the sort of bench we had six to eight weeks ago."

Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea

Arsene Wenger: "It looks like a serious hamstring (for Theo Walcott). First we assessed the hamstring, he wanted to go on and stay on the pitch, and I think he should have gone off straight away because the second time it was a real hamstring. I think now for him it will be tough to come back before the end of the season. It is usually 21 days (minimum). He should be okay to play for England, but I don't think he will be ready to play for us."

Roberto Di Matteo: "Looking at the statistics, I think we had as many attempts and corners as they had. I think they had a couple of chances from set plays, they didn't really create any clear-cut chances. I think we looked dangerous on the break many times, but we needed more quality at the end of the match to get the points."

Aston Villa 0-0 Sunderland

Alex McLeish: "Sunderland are a very good side with a lot of experience but the boys had the chances to win it with just a bit more quality in the final third of the pitch. They gave everything they could and the young boys are playing out of their skins. We have got four games to go and we have got to try and take points in every game. We are capable of that with the spirit the boys are showing."

Martin O’Neill: "It is very natural (boos from Villa fans), I was expecting it and I got it. With the idea that I left them in the lurch, I apologise maybe for leaving five days before the start of the season. But I came to this football club a fortnight before the season started with a team that had almost been relegated the previous year. The timing was not great five or six days before the start of the season but I think the team I left behind was infinitely better than the team I had started with. You had internationals galore and players who have gone to other clubs, James Milner, Ashley Young, Stewart Downing, and had great success. Listen, in the scheme of things it's a sideshow today and the main event is the two teams. It will always be that."

Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Norwich City

Steve Kean: "Junior (Hoilett) played with a tight hamstring and Yakubu (Ayegbeni) also had a tough time getting fit. Givet needed an injection at half-time for a severe dead leg, and Bradley needed one too. It's always nice when you win, but this was about the performance because we had players who were on their last legs with lots of fatigue, and they didn't want to come off the pitch."

Paul Lambert: "We huffed and puffed and you've got to take your medicine and go again. I hope we will keep playing this season whether there is some meaning or not. The first goal was a poor goal from out point of view and for the second you can't let someone shoot from 25 yards and do nothing. You've got to get in a tackle or a block or something."

Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Swansea City

Owen Coyle: "Sometimes you've got to stand up and be counted, take that ball and be brave in possession. There's no doubt how hard our group work but, when we get the ball, we want to see the quality we've got. It was the wrong decision-making in the wrong areas but who's to say that won't be the point that keeps us up."

Brendan Rodgers: "We certainly deserved the three points. It was a terrific game. Of course there's a wee bit of tension around but I thought we were excellent and we created enough chances to win the game. We scored a very good goal to go in front early on but conceded a disappointing goal from our perspective. But the reaction to that was outstanding. I thought the players showed no fear, they kept pushing forward, being creative and, on another day with a little bit more luck, we might have had three or four goals."

Fulham 2-1 Wigan Athletic

Martin Jol: "It could have turned out differently but that is hypothetical and I am glad we won in the end. They had zero corners, no chances and they scored out of nothing so it would have been harsh if we had lost. The first 20 minutes were good, we played down the flanks but it was very crowded. With their goal it came out of nothing but maybe it came at the right time because we have the Pog and he scored. It was good to see Philippe Senderos score as well."

Roberto Martinez: "I am disappointed with the result, with the manner the game ended. We knew it was going to be a very difficult game because first we knew Fulham are enjoying a very good season and are in good form and they had a lot more time to prepare. Obviously we had three very challenging games in eight days and today was probably a game too many. You could see that in spells.”
