Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson has taken midfielder Grant McCann off the transfer list.
McCann, a former Posh captain, was put on the transfer list towards the end of last season.
The 32-year-old Northern Ireland international has been involved in the starting line-up in recent weeks and Ferguson confirmed that he is no longer available for transfer.
"Grant's attitude has been very good and he has been playing well so that is why I have made the decision," Ferguson told the club's official website.
"If he continues playing well then we may sit down about a new contract, but at the minute, he is off the list and we will see how things go."
McCann added: "I feel I came back fit in pre-season and I wanted to get my head down, train hard and try and get into the team.
"I don't want to use the injury I had last season as an excuse, but I felt I came back too soon and you learn from that. I didn't play well in the second half of last season by my own admission.
"I am off the list, but I am not getting carried away. I just want to continue in the team and hopefully play well."
