Cheltenham have been benefiting from the meticulous matchday preparation of manager Mark Yates, according to Jermaine McGlashan.
McGlashan, who arrived from Aldershot last month, has been impressed by the detailed analysis of their opponents the squad is given before each npower League Two outing. The 23-year-old stressed knowing his opposite number inside out has given him an added edge come kick-off.
He said: "Mark knows a lot about other team and a lot about other players, he studies teams a lot. We're really well prepared on what we're going to come up against individually and that helps us a lot."
The winger added: "He looks after us and he wants us to express ourselves.
"With me he understands it's going to take a bit of time and it's not going to come straight away and he's made it easy for me.
"He's a good tactician and the league table does not lie, it shows what a good job he's done here."
