The Middlesbrough Live Site, in Centre Square, will have its big screen right outside the Mima gallery. With live music, comedy and theatre planned for the summer Middlesbrough will get its sport fix with the Olympics action being broadcast live throughout the Games.
With Newcastle up the road also providing big screen action with its own Live Site, the North East will be well served and fans in Middlesbrough will have already witnessed the Olympic Torch on its way to London. The Olympic fever in Middlesbrough will also be heightened when Team GB play a warm-up friendly against Brazil at the Riverside one week before the Opening Ceremony in London.
Fans in Middlesbrough will also be able to cheer on local lad Chris Tomlinson in the long jump.
