Moore praise for 'fantastic' Tranmere

Ronnie Moore

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has paid tribute to his players and coaching staff after signing a one-year contract extension with the club.

Since Moore's return to Prenton Park in March, Rovers have managed six wins and three draws in 11 games, lifting them to safety in npower League One.

Moore told the club's official website: "I am pleased with the way things have gone. It's not just me, the coaching staff have been behind me 100 per cent and the players have been fantastic.

"If you look at the form we've been in, if you carried on like that we'd be on 90 points plus which shows how well we've done.

"When you consider we were a point off the drop for a while, to get the amount of wins we've got and the points we've got - they've been fantastic.

"This year the top five are all big money clubs and we're going to have teams coming down and teams coming up that are going to have money as well. But it's about getting the right blend."
