Three stars of London 2012 have been elected by their peers to serve on the British Olympic Association Athletes' Commission.

Rowing gold medallist Katherine Grainger, hockey bronze medal-winning captain Kate Walsh and sprinter Christian Malcolm, for whom London 2012 was his fourth consecutive Games appearance, have all been elected to the Commission.

In total six Olympians were elected, with two-time rowing champion James Cracknell, Beijing 2008 modern pentathlon silver medallist Heather Fell and Athens 2004 diving silver medallist Leon Taylor joining the class of 2012.

Grainger and Taylor were re-elected for what is the second of a maximum three terms which they are eligible to serve, while Walsh, Malcolm, Cracknell and Fell were elected for their first term.

The Commission was formed in July 2010 and now boasts 14 athletes from across ten sporting disciplines that have a combined experience of having participated in 40 Summer and Winter Games, winning 12 medals in the process.
