Smuda was disciplined by Bundesliga outfit FC Koln, for being detained by police after he had "consumed alcohol and got into a dispute with a taxi driver," the club announced, adding that he "has been dropped from Cologne's first team until further notice".
Now Smuda - having grown impatient with Peszko following previous drunken misbehaviour after a friendly against Australia in Poland in September 2010 - has followed suit, banning him from taking part when Poland co-hosts the European Championship this summer.
"Peszko is out, as this was a repeat offence. He won't be in my team. End of story," Smuda told the daily Przeglad Sportowy.
The 63-year-old also stated that Wasilewski, who was with Peszko at the time of the incident but is not believed to have been involved in the row, is also in danger of losing his place in the squad.
