Brighton boss Gus Poyet was pleased with the performance of his development squad after they helped the Seagulls to a 3-0 win at Dorchester.
Craig Noone opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Will Buckley doubled the lead. Teenage striker Ben Dickenson completed the scoring with a curling effort 14 minutes from time against his former club.
Poyet told the club website: "That was very good and just what we needed. The senior players played 60 minutes each and they all came through that very well and there were no injuries.
"We did the basics very well and that's important to me, but I was very pleased with the kids. It's a new group and they have only played one game together but they have linked up very well.
"They were not very happy with their defeat on Tuesday (against Dover Athletic) but they performed very well for the half-hour they were on the pitch."
Poyet confirmed that new signing Wayne Bridge will make his first pre-season appearance during the tour of Spain.
