Andros Townsend has been found guilty of breaching betting regulations

However, three months of the sanction is suspended until July 1, 2016. The ban has been backdated to May 23 when he withdrew from the England Under-21 squad for the European Championship.

He was also fined £18,000.

An FA Independent Regulatory Commission hearing found Townsend guilty of breaches of FA Rule E8(b), which prohibits players from betting or facilitating betting on matches over which they can have an influence.
