Premier League - Pardew hopeful over duo

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is hopeful of having Loic Remy and Mathieu Debuchy back as he attempts to end a dreadful run of form against Swansea.

Striker Remy and full-back Debuchy are both back in training after calf and groin injuries respectively, and that could represent a major boost for Pardew, whose side has lost its last four Barclays Premier League games.

He said: "It will be a big boost for us in terms of their experience at this level and their quality. It's nice to see them back.

"With the World Cup not far around the corner, it's important that they get the time in now."

Remy in particular has been missed with the Magpies scoring just a single goal during his six-game absence to date, but whether he and his compatriot will figure against the Swans remains to be seen.

Pardew said: "I'm not sure. We'll have to wait and see on that for Saturday."
