Karl Robinson's side have lost in the League One play-offs two years running

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has hailed the support of chairman Pete Winkelman.

Robinson has been able to keep hold of all the players that finished last season, as well as adding full-back Jon Otsemobor and former England international Alan Smith to his squad this summer. In addition, Darren Potter, Stephen Gleeson, Tom Flanagan and Jay O'Shea have extended their stays at stadium:mk.

"I wanted to secure the current crop and it is a great testament to the chairman that he allowed us to keep all of our players," Robinson told the club's official website.

"We have kept our team and that was my main aim - to build on last year.

"We know where we are at, we know where we want to improve and what we didn't do last year. The stability will stand us in good stead."

Robinson added: "Of course, I would still like to sign two or three more just to bolster the squad and make it a competitive team."
