Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano Confirmed for UFC 182 in Las Vegas

We officially have a women's title fight scheduled for Las Vegas.

UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will defend her title against Cat Zingano at UFC 182 on Jan. 3, according to a report on Wednesday.

“UFC Tonight” confirmed with Dana White that the women's title fight is official for the Vegas card, which takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Rousey (10-0) has risen to become one of the UFC's top attractions and currently holds a tight grip on the women's bantamweight division as the 135-pound champion. All 10 of Rousey's wins have come via finish, her last two being knockouts in the first round. Only Miesha Tate has gone beyond the first round with Rousey, getting submitted later in the fight via armbar.

Zingano (9-0), like Rousey, hasn't tasted defeat in her career. In her nine fights, Zingano has gone the distance only once, picking up finishes by submission or knockout in all her other outings.

UFC 182 is scheduled to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. The Rousey-Zingano fight will serve as the co-main event.
