Roy Nelson vs. Alistair Overeem Added to UFC 185: Pettis vs. dos Anjos

UFC Fight Night 82 Fighter Salaries: Roy Nelson Sits Atop Payroll

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is going big in its return to Dallas on March 14. The promotion on Tuesday announced that heavyweight bruisers Roy Nelson and Alistair Overeem would face off at UFC 185 at the American Airlines Center.

The fight card is headlined by a UFC lightweight championship bout between current titleholder Anthony Pettis and challenger Rafael dos Anjos.

Nelson (20-10) is looking to rebound from a knockout loss to Mark Hunt last September. The Ultimate Fighter 10 winner, Nelson has lost three of his last four bouts, so a victory against Overeem is crucial.

Overeem (38-14, 1 NC) had lost two of his first three UFC fights, but has flipped that around, winning two of his three most recent bouts. He fought at UFC on FOX 13 in December, where he knocked out Stefan Struve.
