Adrian Morley is hoping to prove his form by the time England take on the Exiles

The veteran prop has been out for three months with a ruptured bicep but is now fully recovered and is hoping to get the nod to lead his side out at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday night.

"It's going to be tough to get in the Warrington side," Morley said.

"They're playing very well at the moment, particularly the props, so I'll just have to wait and see what the coaches think."

Lee Briers, Morley's predecessor as Warrington captain, recently made his comeback from injury by playing for the club's partner club and the skipper is also prepared to turn out for Swinton, who play North Wales Crusaders on Sunday.

"I know Lee Briers had to come back through Swinton, who are our A team at the moment, and, if that's the case, then I'm not precious about it," he added.

Morley, who celebrated his 36th birthday during his injury lay-off, remains a member of England's elite training squad and, after attending this week's camp at Loughborough University, has set his sights on playing in the mid-season international against the Exiles.

Morley will have four games in which to hone his fitness ahead of the clash at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on June 14 and is hoping to catch the eye of England coach Steve McNamara during that time after re-affirming his commitment to his country.

"I don't know what Steve is thinking or whether it might not be enough time to prove my form but I'll get out there and do my best and see if I can put myself in position for selection," he said.

"The boys are really excited about this fixture. It's vital preparation for the World Cup. I'll never retire from international rugby league. It will get to the point when I'm not good enough but I'll always make myself available."
