Skeleton - Rudman third after first two runs

Britain's World Cup champion Shelley Rudman is in third position after the first two runs of the Skeleton World Championships in Lake Placid.

The Sheffield based slider is 0.45 second behind American Katie Uhlaender who holds the lead after finishing her two runs in a time of 1:51.03.

Currently in the second position is Canada's Mellissa Hollingsworth who is just 0:45 behind.

There are three Britain's in the top six with Elizabeth Yarnold in fourth, 0.68 behind, and teammate and Olympic champion Amy Williams sixth, 0.72 behind.

The final two runs will take place on Friday.
