Slocombe sticks with Scunthorpe

Sam Slocombe

Scunthorpe goalkeeper Sam Slocombe has signed an improved two-year contract at Glanford Park.

The 23-year-old, who made his first-team breakthrough this season, has committed himself to the club until the end of the 2013/14 season, with the club having the option of an extra year.

"Sam's had an excellent season and I'm pleased we've now got the new contract finalised," said the club's general manager David Beeby.

"Sam's still developing and I'm sure he'll keep getting better as he gains more experience and hopefully he'll be a top keeper for us for many years to come."
