The spectacular one-frame knockout event, with ten-minute frames and a shot clock, will run from January 24 to 26 at the Tower Circus Arena, Blackpool.
The world’s top 64 players will all be invited to compete in the three-day event.
Martin Gould will defend the title he won last season by beating Mark Allen in the final.
“The Shoot-Out has proved a phenomenal success over the past three years and we are delighted to return to one of the best arenas in the sporting world," said Barry Hearn, the chairman of World Snooker.
"The Tower Circus produces an extraordinary cauldron-like atmosphere so it’s all about which player can think quickly under pressure. It’s a dramatic three days of snooker."
