Saviola scored on a free kick by converting a right-footed shot effort into the lower right portion of the net.

Giovani dos Santos played the entire game. He scored in the 70th minute and took five shots.

Goals also came from a left-footed shot by Isco in the 16th minute, a right-footed shot by Víctor in the 27th minute and a left-footed shot by Nacho Monreal in the 62nd minute.

Málaga suffered a setback when Martín Demichelis was given a red card in the 72nd minute.

At 19th in the table, Los Bermellones are currently fighting for survival and remain three points adrift of safety with a mark of four wins, 12 losses and five draws. Málaga now sit in fourth in the table with a record of 10 wins, six losses and five draws.


Málaga managed to secure the win despite the opposition having more shots. The Barralets fired in 16 shots, including three on goal, while Málaga produced four shots, including three on target.

Málaga's attack was controlled with ease and no player had more than one shot.

Mallorca had 51.4% of the possession during the match.

Los Bermellones had 23 shots, including three on target.

Kevin made a big difference on the match for Mallorca after coming on for Pedro Bigas in the fifth minute due to injury, as he took three shots.
