Oulton BSB: Suspension issues hamper Ellison

The Cumbrian rider ended the day in fourth, behind title contenders Samsung Honda’s Alex Lowes, Rapid Solicitors Shane Byrne and Tyco Suzuki’s Josh Brookes. The Englishman is no stranger to the Oulton Park circuit, and is in a race against time to get his Yamaha set up for tomorrow’s qualifying session.

“Fourth is not so bad really, but we are a second off the pace, so we need to find that time before tomorrow, and I will be happy. We have a few tweaks to do to the suspension, and hopefully that will make a difference,” said Ellison, speaking to Bikesportnews.com from the circuit.

“It has to come from me as well, but at the minute it is the suspension setting and we are struggling to find the grip in the corners, and we are not in full throttle in a lot of places, and we need to make a few tweaks and see if that will help us tomorrow. But the pace the other riders are running does not seem too fast, so hopefully we can get there.”
