A swell from the north which had developed on Thanksgiving Day at Haleiwa tapered off during the night, leaving organisers no choice but to call off the day's proceedings once again.
There has been just three days of surfing out of 12 so far at the event on the North Shore of the island.
However, a new swell is set to fill in from the north-west, meaning competitors could yet see some ideal conditions on Saturday - the final day of the waiting period.
Given just one day remains, competition will go ahead no matter what, with an 8am start scheduled, when the round of 32 will be completed before the quarter-finals, semis and final will be decided and a new Reef Hawaiian Pro will be crowned.
