TUF China Finale Attendance: UFC Sells Out Event in Return to Macao

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s The Ultimate Fighter China Finale on Saturday was a sellout in Macao, China.

“We had attendance tonight, it was a sellout. Another sellout. We had 6,000 fans in attendance tonight just packing the arena,” said Managing Director, UFC Asia Mark Fischer during the event’s post-fight press conference.

The event took place at the CotaiArena in Cotai, Macau, China. It featured The Ultimate Fighter: China welterweight final and was headlined by a welterweight match-up between Dong Hyun Kim and John Hathaway.

Kim delivered a highlight reel spinning back elbow that knocked Hathaway out in the third round. Zhang Lipeng defeated Wang Sai by split decision to capture The Ultimate Fighter China welterweight tournament title.

In other main card action, heavyweight Matt Mitrione logged a first round knockout over Shawn Jordan, while Hatsu Hioki defeated Ivan Menjivar by unanimous decision in a featherweight bout.
