UFC 178 Fighter Salaries: Johnson Tops Payroll, but McGregor is a Close Second
Conor McGregor may not have topped the bill at UFC 178: Johnson vs. Cariaso, but he certainly stole the show. The brash Irish banger has quickly placed himself in the limelight, and it’s certainly paying off in popularity, but also in his pocketbook.
McGregor’s fight versus Dustin Poirier wasn’t event the co-main event on Saturday night, but the victorious Irishman was the second most prosperous fighter on the disclosed fighter payroll, being bested only by UFC flyweight champion and headliner Demetrious Johnson.

The Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday revealed the full UFC 178: Johnson vs. Cariaso fighter salaries to MMAWeekly.com. The event took place on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
