UFC 181: Hendricks vs. Lawler II Attendance and Live Gate

UFC 181 was set up to be a draw with two title fights for their pay-per-view event Saturday in Las Vegas, but the gate came short of cracking 10,000 attendees.

The fight card had 9,617 spectators in attendance for the Mandalay Bay event, and the gate drew a total of $2,488,000.

Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler battled it out in the main event, with the latter fighter edging out a split decision and taking home the UFC welterweight title.

In the co-main event, lightweight title holder Anthony Pettis successfully defended his belt with a submission of challenger Gilbert Melendez in the second round.

The attendance number for UFC 181 is the lowest total for a Mandalay Bay pay-per-view since 2012 when UFC 143 had 9,015 in 2012.
