UFC 181 Takes a Another Hit as TUF Winner Corey Anderson Gets Second New Opponent
With UFC 181 quickly approaching, the fight card took a last-minute hit on Monday.
The Ultimate Fighter 19 winner Corey Anderson‘s opponent, Jonathan Wilson, has been forced from the fight for undisclosed reasons, according to UFC officials. Another UFC newcomer, Justin Jones, has agreed to take his place.

Jones is the third scheduled opponent for Anderson at UFC 181 in Las Vegas. Aside from Jones and Wilson, he was originally slated to fight Gian Villante.
Anderson (4-0) comes into the Dec. 6 fight fresh off his win of the UFC’s reality show. In the TUF 19 finale, Anderson took just 61 seconds to earn a technical knockout of fellow finalist Matt Van Buren. Three out of Anderson’s four wins have come by way of TKO stoppage.
Jones (3-0) most recently submitted the son of Chuck Liddell's trainer, John Hackleman Jr., at RFA 15 in June. He has finished all three of his professional opponents and three out of the four amateur fighters that he faced.
Anderson is far from the only fighter on the card to have to deal with opponent changes. Raquel Pennington, who was originally supposed to welcome former world champion boxer Holly Holm to the Octagon, recently drew a new opponent.

The UFC 181 main event was also an entirely different fight when first announced. Middleweight champion Chris Weidman was supposed to defend his belt against Vitor Belfort in the headliner, but a broken hand derailed Weidman, and that fight has since been moved to UFC 184 in Los Angeles.
