UFC 185 Gate and Attendance: Strong Numbers for Hendricks on Home Turf

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Saturday night for UFC 185: Pettis vs. dos Anjos.

The attendance for the show was 17,160, which accounted for a gate totaling $2.155 million.

UFC 185 marked back-to-back years that former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks got to fight on his home turf, and he surely likes it, as he remained in title contention by dominating Matt Brown.

It marked the first time since UFC 92 in 2008 that two titles changed hands on one night at a UFC event. On that night, Rashad Evans took the light heavyweight belt from Forrest Griffin, while Frank Mir submitted Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira for the interim heavyweight title.

The UFC announced it would return to Texas later this year for UFC 192 in Houston.
