UFC Boston McGregor vs. Siver Weigh-in Results

The UFC Fight Night 59 event slated for a special Sunday night time slot in Boston has been built on the hopes, abilities, and prognostications of one man: Conor McGregor.

McGregor has been deemed the next contender to UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo‘s title, and nearly everyone has penciled him into that slot, making for a major UFC event this Spring. He does, however, have to get past Dennis Siver on Sunday before that can happen.

And before McGregor and Siver could fight, they had to weigh in, along with the other UFC Boston fighters, on Saturday.

“It's not the first time that I'm fighting elsewhere. You'll see tomorrow. We will win the fight,” said Silver after making weight.

“Tomorrow night, the Irish invasion continues,” said McGregor after weighing in. “That's 1-4-5. That's championship weight. Tell Jose (Aldo) that I'm coming.”

The UFC Fight Night 59 co-main event features Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone returning to the Octagon just two weeks after his most recent victory, filling in for Eddie Alvarez, who had to withdraw due to personal reasons. Cerrone faces Benson Henderson for the third time, hoping that the third time is a charm, having lost twice to Henderson when they were both fighting under the WEC banner.
