Ovince Saint Preux Puts Yushin Okami to Sleep in UFC Japan Main Event

The Ultimate Fighting Championship landed at the Ginásio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Brazil on Saturday night for UFC Fight Night 56: Shogun vs. St. Preux, the promotion's first event in the city.

According to UFC officials, the event drew an audience of 5,671.

The main event saw late replacement Ovince St. Preux pull off a major upset, especially considering the event was in Brazil, when he took just 34 seconds to drop Shogun Rua to the mat with a left hook and finish him off in a flurry of punches.

The night's original co-main event of Ian McCall vs. John Lineker was nixed less than 24 hours prior to fight time, when McCall had to pull out of the bout due to illness.

The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 middleweight winner Warlley Alves and Alan Jouban stepped up to the task, putting on a three-round battle that ended in a controversial unanimous decision in Alves' favor.

The UFC intends to return to Brazil seven times in 2015, but has yet to reveal the dates and locations.
