UFC Fight Night 63 Medical Suspensions: Four Fighters Briefly Sidelined

The Virginia Boxing, MMA and Wrestling Advisory Board released the medical suspensions stemming from UFC Fight Night 63: Mendes vs. Lamas on Monday.

Only four of the 20 fighters that competed on the April 4 fight card in Fairfax received medical suspensions: Ricardo Lamas, Dustin Poirier, Milana Dudieva and Shamil Abdurakhimov.

Out of the four, Poirier received the longest suspension. The 26-year-old returned to the lightweight division for the first time in four years and knocked out Carlos Diego Ferreira in the opening round. He’s sidelined for 60 days for undisclosed reasons.

Lamas, Dudieva and Abdurakhimov each received 30-day suspensions following their first-round losses.

UFC Fight Night 63 took place at the Patriot Center in Fairfax and was televised on Fox Sports 1.
