UFC Set to Make Its Phoenix Debut on Dec. 13
As UFC on FOX 12 wound down on Saturday night, UFC officials announced that the next Fight Night on FOX would take place on Dec. 13 in Phoenix, Ariz., as previously rumored.
UFC on FOX 13 doesn’t have any fights announced yet, but it does have a venue. The event will take place at the US Airways Center.
The Dec. 13 event marks the promotion’s first trip to Arizona, opening up another new market for the MMA juggernaut.
It’s a location that would be prime for former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson, who trains in Glendale, Ariz. He currently has a fight lined up with Rafael dos Anjos in August, so any hopes of him fighting on his home turf will have to wait for the outcome of that bout.
