Watson raises 'bowling in Gabba' hopes following 'gentle' deliveries during training

Sydney, Nov 19 (ANI): Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has reportedly raised hopes that he may be able to bowl in the first Test of the winter Ashes, beginning at Brisbane's Gabba on November 21, after managing six gentle deliveries at training. However, Watson's contribution with the ball will be so limited because of his latest hamstring drama, if it happens at all, spinner Nathan Lyon may be forced to sacrifice his own game and tie up an end. According to News.com.au, Australian physiotherapist Alex Kountouris claimed that Watson was going well with his rehabilitation process, saying that although Watson's bowling during his training was in its 'infancy', he is going well at the moment. Kountouris further said that as the Test is a long game, they are building Watson up to bowling whenever he is ready to go. (ANI)
