"It would be professional if he would make his decision by the end of the day," Inter president Massimo Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport, clearly frustrated at the Dutch superstar's indecision over whether or not to agree a 10 million euro move to Turkish side Galatasaray.

Liverpool and Tottenham have been reportedly considering offers to the 29-year-old, however, and Sneijder seems happy to let the saga play out before making a choice.

"There are still two weeks to go before the end of the transfer window, so there is time. I am relaxed, and I’m considering my options," he said.

Moratti's hope of a swift resolution are all too easy to understand: the player has not appeared for the Italian club since a dispute blew up between him and his employers after they asked him to accept a 2 million euro pay cut.

Turkish giants Galatasaray claim to have agreed a fee with Inter, but Sneijder's attitude may yet scupper a deal as Gala coach Fatih Terim warned.

"If Sneijder wants to come to Galatasaray then he must see us as a first choice," he said.

"This club is not anyone’s plaything. Those who play here do not see Galatasaray as an alternative, but as a first choice. Otherwise, one must step aside."
