The spectacular event was organised by the Hungaroring to promote the WTCC Race of Hungary and included stunt flying and runs of Formula 3000 and GT cars.

Hungarian driver Norbert Michelisz’s Honda, Pepe Oriola’s Tuenti Racing SEAT, Yvan Muller’s RML Chevrolet, Fredy Barth’s Wiechers-Sport BMW and James Thompson’s LADA completed four laps of a street-course from the central Szécheniy István tér, across the Szécheniy lánchíd (the famous Chain Bridge) and along the József Attila utca.

On a sunny and hot afternoon, nearly 500,000 spectators crowded along the streets to watch the racing cars at speed. The event was also broadcast live on the national TV channel M1.
