WTCC - Weight boost for BMW 320 TC in Shanghai

The BMW 320 TC cars will be the beneficiaries of a 20kg reduction in minimum weight for the upcoming WTCC races in China despite Stefano D’Aste's victory in Japan.

The Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T remains the heaviest cars according to the calculation based on the lap times set in the three previous events (Brazil, USA and Japan) and will be laden with the maximum 40kg ballast.

The SEAT León will carry again 30 kilos of compensation weight, while the Honda Civic and BMW 320si will carry no ballast on their second outing in the championship.

For them the compensation weight will be applied for the following event at Macau.

Without ballast are also those cars that make their first appearance in the current season: Chevrolet Cruze LT, Chevrolet Lacetti and Honda Accord Euro R.
