    • - So Leinster become the first team to win three Heineken Cup titles, defending Ulster today by a record margin at Twickenham
    • 80+1' CONVERSION LEINSTER! 42-14! That should not do disservice to Leinster though, who have played fantastically well, as McFadden this time does add the extras with the final kick of the game.
    • 80' TRY LEINSTER! 40-14! Cronin wants a peice of the action, crossing over in the righthand corner to add his name to the scorers list as the clock ticks over to 80 minutes. Such a shame for Ulster, who have not been as outplayed as the score will suggest
    • 79' Leinster's players are celebrating on the sidelines now just waiting for the final whistle ...
    • 78' In Sexton's absence, he was substituted after that last penalty, McFadden takes the conversion but pulls the ball wide across the front of the posts with just a couple of minutes to go now until the final whistle
    • 76' TRY LEINSTER! 35-14! Just to add salt to Ulster's wounds, Leinster exploit their man advantage as substitute Van der Merwe pushes his way over in the corner to add a third try for the evening. Easy for Leinster as they spread the ball wide and Ulster simply don't have enough men to stop them
    • 74' PENALTY LEINSTER! 30-14! Sexton easily adds another three points, no trouble for the Ireland international with that kick, and Leinster's name can now start being engraved on that trophy surely?
    • 73' Treblanche is sent to the sin-bin, he will play no further part in this final, after a picking up Cronin, tipping him over and dropping him to the ground. The 36-year-old will play no further part in this final and Leinster will have another kick at the posts
    • 70' Leinster just 10 minutes away from becoming one of the most successful side in Heineken Cup history now as they edge towards their third trophy. Only Toulouse will have won more with four triumphs.
    • 69' PENALTY LEINSTER! 27-14! Sexton adds another three points to the defending champions tally after Rory Best was penalised for playing the ball off his feet. Just 11 minutes left on the clock now as Leinster look increasingly comfortable
    • 68' A bit scrappy in midfield from both sides as O'Driscoll limps off having picked up a knock. There's a huge cheer for the former skipper as Dave Kearney comes on to replace him. Richardt Strauss also goes off with Sean Cronin the man to come on in his place. Ulster also take the chance to make a change, Faloon replacing Henry.
    • 63' Shane Jennings is coming on for Leinster in place of McLaughlin while Van der Merwe replaces try-scorer Healy in the front row
    • 62' It was a tough conversion for Pienaar from right on the sideline and unfortunately for the Ulster fans, he can't quite curl the ball around enough, missing wide across the front of the posts
    • 61' TRY ULSTER! 24-14! Wallace breaks through the Leinster defensive line and flings the ball wide to find Tuohy, who crashes over the line to finally grab Ulster's first try of the evening!
    • 60' Humphreys this time, with fresher legs for Ulster, tries to take his side over the line. Again the Ulster pressure is creating chances but they can only get close before Leinster turn the ball over and Kearney clears to the half-way line
    • 58' There's a huge cheer from the Leinster supporters as Leon Cullen makes way for Devin Toner
    • 57' It just doesn't get any better for Ulster as Wannenburg ends up passing the ball forward behind his back (no mean feat) within metres of the line. Ulster desperately needed control but couldn't find it and was that their last chance to get into this game?
    • 57' Cullen is told to talk to his players about the infringements and during that time Ulster decide to go for the try instead of taking the three points
    • 55' Ulster pushing for a try ... Afoa to Trimble back to Afoa, who shows great strength by staying on his feet ... Ulster now within five metres of the line but they are playing advantage and they will come back for the penalty after Leinster infringe at the break down
    • 51' PENALTY LEINSTER! 24-9! Ouch! Immediately that Ulster have got themselves back within two score range, Henry gives away a sloppy penalty for being off his feet in the ruck and Sexton belts another kick from out wide, sending the ball whistling in between the posts
    • 49' PENALTY ULSTER! 21-9! O'Brien is penalised for a high tackle, that was a dubious call but nonetheless Ulster have the penalty and Pienaar gives his side hope with his third kick of the day
    • 47' Kearney charges through a gaping hole in the Ulster defence. Leinster are all over their Belfast rivals now but Wannenburg earns his side a penalty and a chance to clear their lines ...
    • 46' Ian Humphreys is brought on for Ulster in place of Paddy Jackson after another error from the young fly-half lead to that penalty try. Today will be a harsh lesson for Jackson
    • 46' CONVERSION LEINSTER! 21-6! An easy kick for Sexton from just in front of the posts to extend the defending champions lead to 15 points, more than two converted tries
    • 45' PENALTY TRY LEINSTER! 19-6! Ouch! Leinster roll towards the Ulster line, just steam-rolling the Ulster defence as they get to within five metres. But they are spared the need to cross the line as Ulster are penalised for pulling down the maul and a penalty try is awarded.
    • 43' Nacewa clatters into Paddy Wallace as the Irish international looks to find Cave on the outside of him. Leinster turn the ball over ...
    • 41' Sexton gets the second half underway, with no changes to either side, which is slightly surprising considering Jackson's nervy performance for Ulster in the first half
    • HT HALF-TIME: Leinster 14-6 Ulster
    • 40+1' PENALTY ULSTER! 14-6! What a kick from Pienaar as he belts the ball upfield from nearly the half-way line. That will give his side a great boost heading down the tunnel and it is 14-6 to Leinster at the break!
    • 40' The clock ticks over to 40 minutes and Ulster have one last chance for points just before the break as Kearney is penalised ...
    • 39' Just over a minute to go in the first half but Sexton finds a hole in the Ulster defence on the half-way line. He finds D'Arcy but it's not a great pass and the move breaks down ...
    • 38' Trimble tries to find Terblanche but the ball is spilled. Ulster manage to re-collect the loose ball but it's another shaky error from the side that trails ...
    • 37' Jackson's kick was a metre too the left of the posts and Ulster really have let Leinster off the hook there. They should have come away from that attack with points and that's going to be another hammer blow to their confidence just before the interval
    • 37' Afoa tries to batter his way through the Leinster line ... Pienaar spreads the ball wide to Jackson, they could have numbers out wide ... the change direction ... Wannenburg to Ferris ... Tuohy back to Jackson, who looks for the drop goal ... it's a horrible strike and Owens decides to check with the TMO ...
    • 34' Nacewa gets his timing slightly wrong in the air, handing Ulster a chance to escape another attack from Leinster, although Pienaar's clearance kick looks a little shaky
    • 33' CONVERSION LEINSTER! 14-3! Another easy conversion kick for Sexton as he adds the extras once again to further extend Leinster's lead as we approach half-time
    • 32' TRY LEINSTER! 12-3! O'Brien is hauled down just inside the five metre line and Reddan picks up. The Leinster fly-half, instead of going himself, decides to offload to Healy, who rolls Trimble best attempt to stop him and rolls over the line in the process
    • 31' O'Driscoll gets his hands through the tackle and finds O'Brien ... O'Brien on the break once again just inside the 22 ...
    • 29' Paddy Jackson has barely been involved in play so far for Ulster and his first real contribution is an incredibly nervy kick out of hand that gifts Leinster possession back in a decent position
    • 27' Leinster kick upfield but fail to find touch and the favour is quickly returned as Ross is penalised and Ulster kick for territory, Pienaar finding a great bit of territory for his side. Just over 10 minutes remaining until the break
    • 25' Huge commitment from McFadden as he comes charging in and leaps up for a high ball to see Leinster break once again. O'Driscoll teaches opposite number Cave a lesson as he earns his side a penalty ...
    • 24' Pienaar, Afoa, Ferris. Leinster turn the ball over and look for the counter-attack ... McFadden, O'Driscoll, Reddan. This is frantic stuff from both sides!
    • 22' Leinster go for the long line-out and it only just pays off. Reddan kicks and Strauss breaks ... he won't have the pace for the required 70 metres but he has support. Strauss finds Heaslip ... Reddan ... somehow Leinster keep the ball in. They send it across the field ... O'Driscoll, Nacewa but Ferris charges in and thumps the Kiwi into touch ...
    • 22' There's a foot on the line now from Terblanche and that was super close from Ulster. They were less than five metres short but Leinster will have the line-out
    • 21' Piennar to Ferris ... Terblanche, gets witin five metres but somehow manages to keep it in play ...
    • 20' Ulster on the attack once again although Cave only just manages to collect as Nacewa is clearly looking for the intercept. Trimble to Piennaar, Muller to Henry. Tuohy ... Jackson, Wallace, loose ball but Best dives on it and Ulster go again
    • 18' O'Brien boots upfield and makes a chase up the line. Terblanche is there and clears, albeit only as far as O'Driscoll and Leinster have the ball back once more
    • 16' Sexton makes a long attempt at a penalty kick (after Ferris kicks a very loose clearance) but somehow pulls it well wide and safely into the arms of the 36-year-old Terblanche. He easily had the distance but his aim was surprisingly shocking for such an accurate kicker as Sexton usually is. Ulster escape
    • 14' CONVERSION LEINSTER! 7-3! Sexton adds the extras without too much trouble, the kick being from just to the left of the left upright. Leinster are beginning to look ominously slick if you are an Ulster fan
    • 13' TRY LEINSTER! 5-3! The try is eventually awarded after numerous looks. Leinster have the lead and that was a huge call for the TMO. O'Brien just got the ball down on enough of the line for the try to be awarded but he was pretty close!
    • 13' Really solid attacking work from Leinster as O'Brien dives over the line and just evades the tackle of Pienaar. O'Brien thinks he has scored but Owens goes up to the TMO to check that the grounding wasn't just short of the line ... if not it'll go back for a Leinster penalty after Best was caught coming in from the side
    • 13' Ulster lose control of the ball and Leinster have possession back in the Ulster 22. Sexton, D'Arcy, Kearney ... Leinster now within five metres of the line ...
    • 11' Ulster quickly get the chance to make amends as the ball goes straight through the hands of all the Leinster line and it is another scrum to the Belfast side
    • 10' D'Arcy, Reddan, O'Brien, O'Driscoll. Reddan to Strauss, Sexton but Ulster turn the ball over on their own 22 line and Treblanche boots upfield. But the ball was taken back into the 22 Ulster and that was a horrible mis-kick from Treblanche. Leinster will now have a line-out back inside the Ulster 22
    • 8' PENALTY ULSTER! 0-3! This one is in kicking range for Pienaar! And sure enough the South African, who kicked six from six in the semi-final, drills the ball right through the centre of the posts to get his side off the mark. Great start from Ulster
    • 6' Pienaar finds Jackson, finds Ferris. A confident start from the Belfast-based side. Pienaar to Wallace, Jackson, Court ... Gilroy, Henry. Leinster are beginning to find their feet defensively now though. Pienaar finds Wallace but Cullen is there. Ulster will have a second attempt at the penalty though as Leinster fail to roll away at the breakdown ...
    • 4' Cave breaks through a hole in the Leinster defensive line. Brilliant run on the angle from Cave as he gets the best of Cullen. Kearney eventually brings the Ulster centre down though and they turn the ball over before clearing downfield. Only as far as the Ulster fullback though ...
    • 3' Terblanche fails to collect a poor pass from Jackson before Trimble collects and takes the ball on. But there are a couple of breakdown fouls from Leinster and Ulster are handed the first penalty of the day. Pienaar kicks for touch as the posts are just out of range
    • 1' Kearney collects the high ball off Terblanche's kick upfield but Ulster get the put-in to the first scrum after sterling work at the break-down by the Ulster pack
    • - Ulster get the clash underway through the boot of Pienaar ...
    • - There's been a late change on the bench, with Isaac Boss failing a late fitness test for Leinster. The 22-year-old John Cooney is Boss's replacement in the back-up scrum-half berth for the defending champions
    • - We are just about ready for kick-off then. It's a sell-out crowd at Twickenham with just over 82,000 fans packing out the place
    • - Leinster have enjoyed an unbeaten run to the final of this year's Heineken Cup, winning seven and drawing one of their eight games.
