    • FULL-TIME! The British and Irish Lions suffer their first defeat on their Australian tour as they go down 14-12 to the ACT Brumbies in Canberra.
    • 79' Less than 60 seconds to the hooter now.
    • 78' But the ball comes loose. Great cheers from the home crowd as the Lions are forced to retreat into their own half.
    • 77' ACT delay the line-out and the Lions opt for the scrum. Richard Hibbard fancies this and the tourists earn a second penalty.
    • 76' Etienne Oosthuizen on for Leon Power.
    • 75' The Lions forwards put the pressure on and work the ball down to the 5m line but Murray penalised for holding on. A chance missed.
    • 74' Darting run from Zebo before Wade chases his own kick and Mogg hacks wildly into touch.
    • 73' Robbie Coleman on for Clyde Rathbone.
    • 72' Penalty for the Lions following a Richie Gray line-out steal and Farrell will go for the posts from 44m. Gunbarrel straight and Brumbies 14-12 Lions.
    • 71' Simon Zebo on for for Shane Williams.
    • 70' Parling leaps like a salmon and Murray boots clear. Much easier ball for the Irish scrum-half than the scraps Ben Youngs was dealt.
    • 69' Great kick from aggressive fly-half Matt Toomua and Hibbard is under pressure with the line-out deep in his own 22.
    • 68' 12 years ago the Lions come back from behind against the Brumbies. Can they do it again?
    • 67' Brumbies have made double the tackles in the match so far.
    • 66' Brumbies win the breakdown in their own half and the arm is up as the Lions are penalised for not releasing. The tourists have been half a yard slow at the breakdown.
    • 65' A little bit high by Rathbone on Wade but the ACT man gets away with that one.
    • 64' The big boot of Mogg relieves the pressure for the hosts.
    • 63' BRUMBIES 14-9 - Easy kick for Owen Farrell from 24m.
    • 62' The Lions already look invigorated by the big guns off the bench and another penalty as Josh Mann-Rea is penalised for not moving away.
    • 61' Geoff Parling, Conor Murray and Owen Farrell on for Evans, Youngs and Hogg.
    • 60' Hogg hits the woodwork again with his penalty attempt!
    • 59' Big scrum from the Lions as the new front row make an immediate impact. ACT are penalised for standing up in the scrum and Hogg has the posts in his sights again.
    • 58' Richard Hibbard, Alex Corbisiero and-Dan Cole come on in a complete front row change. And Dan Lydiate replaces Sean O'Brien.
    • 57' Josh Mann-Rea comes on for Siliva Siliva for the hosts.
    • 56' BRUMBIES 14-6 – Straight down the middle from Hogg, the deficit is eight points once more.
    • 55' The Lions are grateful as Matt Toomua is penalised for not releasing. Great work by Sean O'Brien.
    • 54' BRUMBIES 14-3 - Sweet kick from Mogg to punish the Scottish prop.
    • 53' Ryan Grant is penalised for a bit of wrestling to Kuridrani’s head. Bad discipline and ACT will kick at goal.
    • 52' Super kick from Mogg to pin the Lions back on their own 22.
    • 51' Scott Sio and Ruan Smith force the Lions scrum back and it leads to a turnover.
    • 50' Hogg repelled by another crunching tackle by Colby Faingaa. The Lions make precious little ground and eventually a high kick results in a knock-on.
    • 49' Twelvetrees is smashed in centre field once more, this time by Matt Toomua, but the Lions retain possession in the ACT half.
    • 48' Lions bench warming up, expect to see Richard Hibbard very soon.
    • 47' PENALTY BRUMBIES! Mogg adds three more.
    • 46' Penalty in centre field as the Lions fail to roll away from a ruck and this should be 11-3.
    • 45' The Lions do win a line-out but good work at the breakdown by ACT and the men in red are penalised for not releasing allowing the Brumbies to make good territory.
    • 44' The Lions go for their lineout deep in ACT territory and they are beaten again! Richie Gray cannot make the claim and that means the tourists have a 6-6 record with their own lineout.
    • 43' A rare sign of Wade who gets a touch of space on the right flank and is he dragged down by the collar by Kuridrani. Clearly high and that is a penalty.
    • 42' More of the same as Best is errant with his throw at the line-out. It has been a real shocker from the Irish hooker.
    • 41' Here we go for the second-half with the same 30 men on the pitch.
    • 40' ACT discipline cracks and captain Kimlin penalised for not releasing in the tackle to give Hogg a chance to reduce the deficit which he duly does and at the interval it is Brumbies 8-3 Lions.
    • 39' The Lions look for something before half-time and are deep in the Brumbies half.
    • 38' Jesse Mogg takes over kicking duties and plants it through to make it BRUMBIES 8-0 LIONS
    • 37' The Lions concede a fourth penalty and a second in two minutes at the breakdown.
    • 36' Ian Prior missed the conversion and then hooks a penalty wide of the right post.
    • 35' Sean O'Brien is penalised for not releasing at the breakdown and the Brumbies have another penalty and a more kickable chance.
    • 34' The hosts try to release Henry Speight on the right wing but the speedster can’t haul in the long pass.
    • 33' Another wonky line-out from Best, not a captain’s example, and Brumbies get the put-in on halfway. That is the fourth of the night.
    • 32' Sean O'Brien needs some treatment but he looks ok. A tough guy.
    • 31' He had the distance but it fades wide of the right post.
    • 30' Jesse Mogg lining up from 56m.
    • 29' Lions are offside and Brumbies will have a kick in the post.
    • 28' Lucky it was a penalty as a wild pass from Twelvetrees in midfield was behind Barritt.
    • 27' Brumbies penalised for leaving their feet and Hogg relieves the pressure a touch. Not a great kick though.
    • 26' Great atmosphere here at Canberra Stadium, Lions and Brumbies fans in full voice.
    • 25' Messy again from the line-out and Brumbies win the ball from their put-in to set up another spell of possession in the Lions half.
    • 24' Justin Tipuric missed an opportunity to fly hack clear earlier and relieve the pressure but Kearney saved a try.
    • 23' Brumbies look increasingly confident. A lovely line from Kuridrani and out to Colby Faingaa who is unable to find Andrew Smith on the overlap. Big chance there foiled by Kearney.
    • 22' Brumbies getting the rolling maul going before working it wide to Clyde Rathbone but the Lions force a turnover inside their own 22.
    • 21' A very flat performance so far by the Lions so far.
    • 20' Hogg not yet finding his range from the tee and the Brumbies get the penalty from the breakdown.
    • 19' But Hogg hits the upright with what should have been a relatively straightforward three points. The Scot was 15m in from the right touchline.
    • 18' Evans wins it again and a surge from the forwards. ACT penalised for pulling it down illegally and Hogg will look to reduce the deficit with the boot.
    • 17' Penalty against the Brumbies on halfway but just out of reach for Stuart Hogg in these conditions and he kicks for touch.
    • 16' Best's lineout fails again, a real area of concern ahead of the Test series.
    • 15' The Brumbies looking a very strong unit and the difference to the Waratahs game is they are all legal hits.
    • 14' Best was not straight with a line-out earlier but that is better as Ian Evans claims to set up a Lions attack before Wade drops an inside pass.
    • 13' Mogg into touch on the full again and a Lions line-out just outside the 22.
    • 12' A sustained spell of Lions possession but some big hits from the hosts. Rory Best gets knocked back before Kuridrani unleashes on Twelvetrees.
    • 11' The Brumbies have scored on average 28 points this season.
    • 10' Really cold and pretty damp out there. Big storms in Canberra earlier.
    • 9' The Lions turn over the scrum and the Lions make decent ground.
    • 8' Hogg now makes a blunder from the kick-off and a try on halfway with a home put in.
    • 7' The conversion is missed.
    • 6' Ugly all around for the Lions. Ben Youngs misses touch with his box kick, Stuart Hogg gets drawn in and exposes Christian Wade who then misses the tackle as does Rob Kearney.
    • 5' TRY BRUMBIES! The Lions under pressure just a few metres from their own line and they can’t relieve the pressure as the hosts spread it wide and Tevita Kuridrani powers through some weak tackles to score.
    • 3' Almost a dream return for Shane Williams as Mogg goes for the interception and leaves space outside for the Welsh winger but Henry Speight pushes the veteran into touch about three metres from the line.
    • 2' Early turnover from Justin Tipuric and then Jesse Mogg is straight into touch with his kick.
    • 1' Today's referee is Jerome Garces from France as the Brumbies get the game underway.
    • 10:40 The Lions must watch out for livewire full back Jesse Mogg and winger Henry Speight. Captain Peter Kimlin, who starts at number eight, and prop Scott Sio were also released from Wallabies duty for the match after earlier tour matches sparked criticism for offering the Lions uncompetitive teams. Here come the teams and we are nearly ready for kick-off.
    • 10:35 The Jake White-coached Brumbies have no intention of being cannon fodder and need only watch footage of their 2001 effort against the Lions for inspiration. The Brumbies were 30-28 losers in 2001 after Austin Healey saved the Lions' blushes with a late try. White guided the Brumbies to their first play-off appearance in Super Rugby for nearly a decade this season and has a clutch of classy backs at his disposal.
    • 10:30 The cobbled-together backline, albeit complemented by a still-formidable forward pack, offers the Brumbies arguably the best chance of the Australian provincial sides to beat the Lions or at least leave the squad with a few doubts before the first Wallabies Test on Saturday. Gatland has also offered all of the players, barring Williams, the additional motivation of a spot in the team to play the Wallabies at Lang Park, despite his earlier intention to have the Test side settled by now.
    • 10:25 With George North (hamstring) and fellow winger Tommy Bowe (hand) missing, Lions coach Warren Gatland has padded out his backline with a clutch of fly-ins led by 36-year-old Shane Williams who retired from international rugby at the end of 2011 and will slot in for one match. Christian Wade, shipped in from Argentina, starts on the other wing, with Brad Barritt landing from the USA and starting at centre in the side captained by Ireland hooker Rory Best. Billy Twelvetrees starts at inside centre
    • 10:20 The Brumbies will front up with a starting 15 robbed of their best Wallabies players at Canberra Stadium. The Lions notched up their fifth win from five tour matches against the New South Wales Waratahs on Saturday, running out 47-17 winners but centre Jamie Roberts was left nursing a hamstring strain and joins England centre Manu Tuilagi in the treatment room, leaving the Lions vulnerable in the one area they can least afford it.
    • 10:15 Lions - 15-Rob Kearney, 14-Christian Wade, 13-Brad Barritt, 12-Billy Twelvetrees, 11-Shane Williams, 10-Stuart Hogg, 9-Ben Youngs, 8-Toby Faletau, 7-Justin Tipuric, 6-Sean O'Brien, 5-Richie Gray, 4-Ian Evans, 3-Matt Stevens, 2-Rory Best (captain), 1-Ryan Grant. Replacements: 16-Richard Hibbard, 17-Alex Corbisiero, 18-Dan Cole, 19-Geoff Parling, 20-Dan Lydiate, 21-Conor Murray, 22-Owen Farrell, 23-Simon Zebo.
    • 10:15 Brumbies - 15-Jesse Mogg, 14-Henry Speight, 13-Tevita Kuridrani, 12-Andrew Smith, 11-Clyde Rathbone, 10-Matt Toomua, 9-Ian Prior, 8-Peter Kimlin (captain), 7-Colby Faingaa, 6-Scott Fardy, 5-Sam Carter, 4-Leon Power, 3-Scott Sio, 2-Siliva Siliva, 1-Ruan Smith. Replacements: 16-Josh Mann-Rea, 17-Jean-Pierre Smith, 18-Chris Cocca, 19-Etienne Oosthuizen, 20-Jordan Smiler, 21-Mark Swanepoel, 22-Robbie Coleman, 23-Zack Holmes.
    • 10:10 The British and Irish Lions' hopes of victory in their last tour match before facing Australia will be tested by a hastily-assembled backline and an ACT Brumbies side keen to inflict a timely psychological blow in Canberra.
