    • - Thanks for joining us - now it's time to click here for Wales v France - live!
    • - Italy were in a different class to Scotland today - the scoreline says 13-6, but that really is inordinately flattering to the visitors after they showed almost no attacking prowess all afternoon.
    • 80'+2 The whistle goes for an Italy penalty, and Burton thumps it into touch to end the match! It's Italy's first win under their new coach, and the first time they've avoided the wooden spoon in five years.
    • 80'+1 Italy running the clock down with the ball in Scotland's half... but Italy are looking for another attack!
    • 80' Scotland spin it wide where Max Evans tries to break through - but he's tackled, fails to release the ball, and it's a penalty to the hosts.
    • 79' Scotland win a penalty from the restart and kick for touch in the 22m; they win the ball but are again pushed back.
    • 78' That's surely the nail in the Scottish coffin - not to mention the coffins of either or both of Scotland coaches Andy Robinson and Gregor Townsend.
    • 77' Scotland almost win a turnover but the Italians hang on to it, the ball coming back to Burton - who takes a drop goal! It's perfect! Straight through the middle! 13-6!
    • 76' Italy win their throw just outside the 22m and they'll build forward from here as they have all day.
    • 75' Scotland get nothing going there at all, losing their lineout and then getting pushed back before conceding a penalty themselves.
    • 74' After three resets Rolland gives Scotland a penalty; they'll kick for a touch inside the 22m and a great chance to make something happen.
    • 72' The ball gets caught up and it's a scrum to Scotland.
    • 71' Scotland win the ball but get immediately pushed back behind the 10m line by the Italy defence.
    • 70' Ruaridh Jackson has come on for Scotland at fly-half; can he find a way where Scotland have so far failed?
    • 69' Mistake from Burton as he kicks out on the full - Scotland will have a throw, just back in the Italy half.
    • 68' Italy with the ball and a nice kick by Canale to keep the home side deep in Scotland's half. Scotland won't score from there.
    • 67' Castrogiovanni comes off crocked - he can hardly walk - while Hamilton is back on now.
    • 66' Another yellow card! It's Zanni who goes off this time, for coming off his feet in the ruck. Rolland pursuing zero tolerance right now.
    • 65' Italy win the ball back from the visitors and are again in that pattern of pushing forward deep in the Scotland 22m.
    • 64' Italy win the throw but Scotland steal it and kick for territory - too far, though, and it's a 22m.
    • 63' Scotland regain the ball from the restart and after some aerial ping pong Stuart Hogg kicks for touch on half-way.
    • 61' Scotland's penalty is good - 10-6. The kick is from the left 15m line and on the 22m, and Laidlaw slots it over with ease.
    • 60' Italy give away another penalty from the throw in, this time on Zanni for brining down Kellock in mid-air.
    • 59' Rolland blows up for a penalty in the scrum, given against Castrogiovanni for pushing down. The Italian is livid.
    • 58' Scotland take that penalty well quickly Blair looks like breaking free, but there's a knock-on to give the ball away.
    • 57' Italy have the ball up in Scotland's half, and sub Vosawai makes a charge - but he hangs on in the tackle and gives away a penalty.
    • 56' ANOTHER YELLOW CARD! It's Hamilton this time, sent into the sin bin for bringing down Italy's maul. Rolland has completely lost the plot there, he just seems sick of blowing up for penalties so has taken the nuclear option to stem the tide.
    • 55' Richie Gray comes off, Kellock on.
    • 54' Italy win their throw and push forward to attack again, but a bit of unintentional crossing means Scotland get it back.
    • 53' Scotland win the scrum second time round and Hogg clears to touch.
    • 52' The scrum, 5m out, wheels and Barbieri picks it up - but the ref demands a reset.
    • 51' Italy very unlucky there - that should have been another try, and Nick De Luca is now back on for Scotland.
    • 50' Italy steal the lineout! They're attacking once again, deep in the 22m - Burton is through the line, but the ref has blown up for a knock-on somewhere! Looked like it came off a boot though - Italy have been unfairly denied a try!
    • 49' Italy win it back, and a stunning kick from Burton puts the ball in touch in Scotland's 22m. Great chance for Italy to pressurise the line out once again.
    • 48' Italy run the ball back into Scotland's half now, but Benvenuti is turned in the tackle and the hosts give it away.
    • 47' Masi thumps a huge punt upfield after the drop-out, the ball skipping into Scotland's try area forcing a Scotland drop out.
    • 46' Straight from the restart Scotland have a chance to cut the deficit as Italy infringe in the ruck. Laidlaw's kick - from the 5m line on the right - is not bad, but misses off to the right by a few inches.
    • 45' 10-3 Italy, and it's no less than they deserve. Hogg may have missed the last tackle, but Venditti ran a brilliant angle for that try and Hogg had little chance. The true culprit, of course, is Nick De Luca, whose petulance has left the Scots a man down at the moment.
    • 44' Kris Burton has taken over kicking duties, and thumps that one over from dead in front.
    • 43' TRY TO ITALY! Italy still keep it but it's slow ball every time.... until Burton puts up the killer ball for Venditti! He's through past Hogg whose attempt at a tackle is prett laughable, and the winger touches down under the posts!
    • 43' Great preesure from Italy as they keep probing for gaps - 10m out now...
    • 42' Italy attack and recylcing well up the left, and now Parisse breaks into the 22m...
    • 41' The match gets back under way, and Scotland have a battle on their hands to try and get back into this match. From the deep restart Hogg kicks for touch though, and Italy have the ball in Scotland's half once more.
    • - It's been a very poor half of rugby, Italy will count themselves unlucky not to be in the lead after dominating possession and territory for the first 40 minutes. Scotland have not threatend at all, and only that superb long kick by Laidlaw has kept them in it.
    • 40'+1 The clock goes into the red and Greig Laidlaw boots the ball off to make it half-time.
    • 40' Penalty missed! Tough one from the 5m line on the left, and Bergamasco pushes it wide of the right post. But the hosts will still have a one-man advantage at the start of the second half.
    • 39' Canale makes a good break up the left, and as Gori picks it up from the ruck Nick De Luca cyncially kicks the ball out of the Italy scrum-half's hands. That's a yellow card and a penalty.
    • 38' Scotland win the throw cleanly for once, and Hogg punts for touch just outside the 22m. Italy still have an attacking chance here...
    • 37' Gray fumbles it from the restart to give it back to Italy, and Canale kicks brilliantly to win a throw right in the corner. The way throws have been going, anything can happen...
    • 36' The penalty goes over for Scotland! Laidlaw's kick is a good one - just inside the left post, and it just creeps over the bar, but that's superb to land one from that far out. 3-3.
    • 35' Scotland push the scrum right over to win a penalty just inside their own half, and Laidlaw will have a go. Straight in front, perfect conditions, but it's almost 50m... tough kick.
    • 34' Italy lose their throw again, Scotland then turn it over, and then Castogiovanni spills the ball out of his hands to turn it straight back. This is really not good. Not good rugby at all.
    • 33' Italy throw is overdone - we've seen that three or four times already today - and Scotland win it, this time kicking for a great touch deep in Italy's half.
    • 32' Scotland win it and Blair kicks for touch, but it's still in the 22m and Italy's throw.
    • 31' Italy knock on to lose the ball just when they have the Scots at their mercy. Scrum to Scotland 5m out...
    • 30' Italy kick the penalty for touch and win their throw deep in the 22m - they're mauling for the line, now just 5m out...
    • 30' Rolland stops the game - yet again - to give the skippers a talking to, calling the game "a mess". The look on Parisse's face suggests that he's not really taking in much for Rolland's million-words-a-minute rabbiting.
    • 29' Scotland kick for touch and Italy run it back once more, with Masi again almost breaking through the line - Morrison just hangs to him though, but Scotland infringe in the ruck and it's a penalty to Italy.
    • 28' Italy spin it back and Burton has a go at the drop goal - it looks good but is charged down, by Barclay. Italy keep it and come forward again, but it's now knocked on.
    • 27' Italy's forwards rampant, Zanni and Geldenhuys come up the left to within 5m of the line...
    • 26' Scotland kick the ball back to Italy, Burton collects and puts a perfect shot into the corner; Hogg is there to save the lineout, however, but they kick back and Italy come up again!
    • 25' Italy let Scotland off again as they concede a turnover, and the pressure is off.
    • 24' Italy collect the 22m drop out and charge forward, Zanni and Parisse combining to get them into the 22m.
    • 23' Bergamasco misses the penalty, and Scotland have dodged a bullet there.
    • 22' Scotland win the scrum but are penalised for Denton hanging on in the tackle - there's some Scotland backchat as the penalty is given, however, and Rolland brings the kick up 10m making it a simple attempt at goal for Bergamasco.
    • 21' Rolland not happy with the usual shenanigans trying to get the scrum settled. "You're ruining it for everybody," Rolland tells the players, adding a threat to show a yellow for more trouble.
    • 20' Italy break forward, Bortolami making a good 30m before Scotland's defence hauls him down. Italy keep the ball and come across the pitch, but knock on.
    • 19' The throw-in is too long and given away! Scotland then compound the mistake by giving away a penalty as they dive into the ruck trying to steal it back. This is a very poor Scotland performance so far, they've not had a sniff at scoring yet.
    • 18' Scrum collapses, and referee Alain Rolland decides that Lo Cicero was pushing at an angle. Scotland penalty, and they will have a throw in the 22m.
    • 17' We're back at half-way for the knock-on scrum, Italy put-in.
    • 16' Scotland win the ball from the scrum as we get back under way; they kick and there's almost a break on for Morrison up the pitch, but Morrison knocked it on as he tackled Kris Burton.
    • 15' The clock is off as Castrogiovanni needs some treatment - looks like his rib injury is giving him trouble.
    • 15' Neither side is making much headway at the moment: Scotland release Laidlaw, but there's a knock-on just before and the ball goes back to the Italians.
    • 14' Scotland fight up into Italy's half but then turn the ball over with a very loose ruck. Italy waste it by kicking again, though.
    • 13' Gori literally put the ball into the second row - ridiculous not to blow up for that, to be honest - but Italy kick for territory and hand the ball back.
    • 12' Bad mistake at the kick-off as the Scottish forwards cross the line before Laidlaw has kicked off. Italy gifted a scrum on the centre circle.
    • 11' Penalty scored! Beautifully struck, clean through the middle and Italy go 3-0 ahead.
    • 10' Scotland's defence finally makes an error as Jim Hamilton jumps in round the side, and Bergamasco will have a chance to kick at goal from almost straight on, and 30m out. Should be a straightforward one.
    • 9' Masi gets the ball and Masi almost breaks the line in the centre - good handling from the Italians on this warm, sunny and dry day.
    • 8' Italy passing deep and wide, Burton trying to unleash his backs - and Andrea Masi is released on the left wing - well tackled though. Italy still attack.
    • 7' Scotland lose the lineout they've won from that penalty - ball not straight - and Italy take the ball from the scrum. What can they do with it?
    • 6' Italy try the rolling maul and looks like they've won a penalty as the Scots try to haul it down - but it looks like Ongaro tried to strangle Denton on the floor, and the penalty is reversed! Bad mistake by Ongaro - he's cost his side three points for that petulant attack.
    • 5' Ross Rennie penalised for coming in from the side - well, almost from the back he was so far offside - and Italy kick deep in the Scotland 22m to get an attacking lineout.
    • 4' Scotland win a free kick as Italy push early; the visitors are keeping the ball well but are still being pushed back by the defence.
    • 3' Scotland are steered across the pitch bby Italy's defence and win another lineout, but they spill it - Italy scrum.
    • 2' Bright start for the visitors as they win a throw-in from the off; slight delay as Canale gets a bit of treatment, but now we're back on.
    • 1' Scotland kick off and the wooden spoon match gets under way.
    • 12:28 Italy playing in white today and Scotland in blue - not quite sure why since Italy are the home side but there you go.
    • 12:25 Italy come into the game on the back of a run of five straight defeats, while Scotland have lost their last six matches in a row - one more and it'll be their worst string of results since 1998.
    • 12:25 The last time two winless teams met in the final match of the Six Nations season was back in 1995, when Ireland played Wales in Cardiff. Wales lost 16-12.
    • 12:20 Scotland are currently ahead of Italy on points difference: they're at -45 compared to -75 for Italy. Six Nations table
    • 12:15 SCOTLAND - 15-Stuart Hogg, 14-Max Evans, 13-Nick De Luca, 12-Graeme Morrison, 11-Sean Lamont, 10-Greig Laidlaw, 9-Mike Blair, 8-David Denton, 7-Ross Rennie, 6-John Barclay, 5-Jim Hamilton, 4- Richie Gray, 3-Geoff Cross, 2-Ross Ford (Captain), 1-Allan Jacobsen
    • 12:15 ITALY - 15-Andrea Masi, 14-Giovambattista Venditti, 13-Tommaso Benvenuti, 12-Gonzalo Canale, 11-Mirco Bergamasco, 10-Kristopher Burton, 9-Edoardo Gori, 8-Sergio Parisse (captain), 7-Robert Barbieri, 6-Alessandro Zanni, 5-Marco Bortolami, 4-Quintin Geldenhuys, 3-Martin Castrogiovanni, 2-Fabio Ongaro, 1-Andrea Lo Cicero
    • 12:15 Italy have been forced into a late change: Fabio Ongaro has replaced the injured Leonardo Ghiraldini at hooker.
    • 12:10 Both sides have come within a whisker of picking off big scalps - only Charlie Hodgson's charge-down tries prevented both nations beating the English for starters - but the bald facts are that Scotland and Italy are both played four, lost four this season.
    • 12:05 Wales will take on France in search of a third Grand Slam in eight seasons at 2:45pm, but first up we've got Scotland travelling to Italy in the wooden spoon decider.
    • 12:00 Welcome to our LIVE coverage of this afternoon's Six Nations-deciding matches. What a cracking afternoon's entertainment we're in for...
