    • South Africa
    • 16:18 What a win for Scotland, especially after last week's obliteration by New Zealand. Not only have they bounced back, they have done it intelligently and have beaten the world champions
    • FT The crowd help skipper Rory Lawson out by counting down the final seconds on the clock and letting him know exactly when to dig the ball out of the ruck and thump it out into touch!
    • 80' Vernon breaks with 30 seconds remaining inside the South African half. Scotland are closing on a famous win at Murrayfield now
    • 76' Lawson tries to chip through across field for his winger to chase but the ball rebounds into South African hands and Kirchner breaks on the left wing on the counter ... Lambie slips back Moray Low but eventually the ball a knock-on sees the ball dribble out into touch for a Scotland line-out
    • 75' It is Scotland's turn now to push towards the try line as they get to within three metres of the South African line with five minutes remaining ...
    • 74' Kirchner breaks down the left wing before chipping through and making chase. Luckily for Scotland though, Hugo Southwell is back there with a clear head to wait for the ball to bounce before diving on it and secure possession back for the hosts
    • 73' LAMBIE MISSES THE CONVERSION! The South African replacement, who grew up in Scotland, just pulls his kick to the left of the uprights and the game remains a two-score game because of that, That was by no means an easy kick for the 20-year-old but the boos ringing around Murrayfield once again cannot of helped
    • 72' TRY! Replacment Willem Alberts spots a gap off the back of the line-out and powers his way over the line through Lamont and Barclay to score the first try of the day. That is unfortunate for Scotland as they have played well to keep South Africa at bay up until now
    • 70' South African put a rolling maul together as the edge towards the Scottish line for the first try of the day. Eventually they force their way over but the ball, in Bismark Du Plessis's hands, is held up and South Africa kick for a line-out after receiving a penalty
    • 68' PENALTY! Parks puts South Africa's loud, continuing complaints out of his mind as he guides another ball home between the posts to hand his side a nine point lead with 12 minutes remaining in this clash
    • 66' Juan Smit cannot believe his eyes when Scotland are awarded another penalty for Smit playing the ball off his feet. That is a harsh penalty as television replays show the Bok number seven was always on his feet but it'll be another kick at goal for Parks
    • 63' PENALTY! Not to keep chatting on about the conditions but the rain really is lashing it down now and Scotland are simply dealing with it better as Parks slots a brilliant kick in between the posts from right on the right wing to further extend the hosts lead
    • 62' Ruan Pienaar is unhappy as the scrum goes down yet again but the penalty ends up going Scotland's way as they are penalised for failing to bind as Tendai Mtwawrira brings things down
    • 60' Kirchner struggles to collect a low kick that skids through and ends up knocking on, handing Scotland the put-in to the scrum in the South African half
    • 58' Scotland steal the line-out from South Africa on the 22 yard line in the Springbok half but eventually the tourists get the penalty when Scotland are penalised for coming off their feet. This is getting incredibly scrappy now as the rain gets heavier and heavier
    • 53' PENALTY! Vernon is still receiving treatment as Parks converts the penalty, earned when South Africa failed to roll away, to hand his side the three point lead once again
    • 51' Vernon breaks from inside his own half, making a good 30 metres before being shoulder-charged by Kirchner. Ansbro takes the ball on and mark his debut with a try but is brought down and will have to settle for earning his side a penalty instead as Vernon is still down receiving treatment
    • 49' Mistakes from both sides as the rain continues to fall in Edinburgh and makes things difficult for the players
    • 46' PENALTY! And level the scores is exactly what the fly-half manages as a few unfriendly boos ring out around Murrayfield
    • 45' A very scrappy passage of play as the rain makes it tricky for both sides to collect the loose ball and it ends in a South Africa penalty and a chance to level the scores for Morne Steyn
    • 42' Aplon tries to feed a low kick in between the Scottish defenders but he ball re-bounds of Morrison and drifts into touch instead
    • 41' Scotland get the clash back underway, three points to the good in this as-yet tryless encounter ...
    • HT The referee blows from half-time and immediately races over to Dan Parks who is still flat on his back after that hit a minute or so ago. But eventually Parks sits up and after looking a little dazed for a second gets up with a wry smile and jogs towards the tunnel for the interval
    • 40+2 Ansbro breaks, making some 15 metres before off-loading. Vernon then receives the ball on the left wing but the huge number eight is no match in pace for Kirchner, who easily brings him down and eventually a knock on from the hosts brings and end to the half
    • 40+2 The ball is worked back to Parks, who has dropped back into the pocket but he takes too long to get his kick off his attempted drop goal and he is completely flattened ...
    • 40+1 Richie Vernon picks up from the base of the scrum, making a good five metres before being felled just inside the South African 22 ...
    • 39' Kankowski races upfield to collect a box kick by Hougaard and he makes a good 20 metres before being brought down and, with suport failing to materialise, Kankowski is penalised for not releasing ball
    • 37' PENALTY! No problems for Morne Steyn to guide that one home from 30 yards out and South Africa get their side of the scoreboard ticking over once again after a long period of Scottish dominantion
    • 37' Scotland are penalised for hands offisde and, after a consultation with the touch judge, Dickinson awards South Africa the kick at goal ...
    • 35' Richie Grey is quick to react and jump on Bismarck Du Plessis but is penalised for not releasing after going down and South Africa get a chance to clear from inside their own half as Scott MacLeod looks to be in some trouble receiving treatment for a hit to the ribs by the looks of it. Richie Vernon will come on into the second row, despite technically being a number eight as the Scots have no like-for-like replacement on the bench
    • 34' Morrison breaks from within his own half after shaping up to kick and giving himself just enough time to confound the South Africa defence. Scotland are enjoying the lions share of possession now, having had the ball for 65 per cent of the time
    • 31' PENALTY! And it's another great kick from Parks as he drills in just inside the right-hand upright to add another three points to his tally. The crowd are beginning to get involved now as they are bouyed by Scotland's much-improved performance
    • 30' Lamont is upended by Frans Steyn but does well to hold on to the ball and Scotland recycle before the Boks are penalised for off-side giving Parks another chance to kick at goal ...
    • 29' Lawson puts a chipped kick up over the South Africa line and Morrison darts through to collect, although he is rapidly brought down ...
    • 27' South Africa are falling apart discipline-wise and hand yet another penalty to the hosts when Francois Steyn is penalised for not releasing the ball when he is brought down
    • 25' PENALTY! Scotland take the lead as Parks once again guides the ball between the posts, from just the 22 yard line and ever so slightly to the left of the uprights
    • 24' Lawson puts up a cross-field kick for Sean Lamont going up against Aplon to collect the ball on the right wing, just over five metres out from the try-line. Aplon does just about secure the ball after it drops between Lamont's open hands. But Scotland quickly drag Aplon down and after an infringement at the scrum by South Africa, Parks will have another chance to kick at goal
    • 21' DROP GOAL! Much better from Scotland after their nervy start to the day as Dan Parks drops back into the pocket and sends a slightly rushed, sliced kick spinning between the posts to level the scores up
    • 20' Kelly Brown breaks into the South Africa 22 before Scott MacLeod picks up the loose ball and tries to add another few metres. The Springboks push Scotland back behind the 22 but they retain possession ...
    • 17' PENALTY! Easy for Parks to slot that ball home, being just to the right of the posts and only 20 yards out and so Scotland are on the scoreboard and halve their deficit
    • 16' Scotland kick for territory and receive a line-out that they do well to secure against Victor Matfield and almost immediately the visitors are penalised again for failing to roll away from the tackle and Parks will take his first kick at goal of the afternoon
    • 15' Aplon breaks down the left wing and at a canter easily makes 20 metres before off-loading inside him. But Morrison turns the ball over and Lawson box-kicks upfield before South Africa are penalised for handling the ball in the ruck
    • 13' PENALTY! There was a bit of a scuffle off the ball after that penalty was awarded to SA and Rory Lawson was given a talking to about controlling his players. And they are penalised by another three points going against them, Morne Steyn having no trouble this time in slotting the ball between the posts
    • 12' The South Africa maul is put into full effect and they make a good 20 metres from it before breaking from it with Gio Aplon going it alone. And the he earns his side yet another penalty with the tackler failing to roll away
    • 10' A better scrum from Scotland, although the front was popping up, leads to a spell of possession for the hosts albeit with much of their movement being in the wrong direction as South Africa push them back. And the hosts give away the ball with a Hugo Southwell kick upfield that fails to get the required distance and hands the tourists a line-out
    • 8' It's Francois Steyn this time who kicks for goal, the centre being the man to take all the Springboks lengthy penalties when he is on the field. And while he has the length and then some, he doesn't quite have the direction; his kick drifting just wide of the right post
    • 7' The scrum goes down twice in quick succession on the half-way line and South Africa are awarded another penalty, with the ref deciding Euan Murray was the man to pull things down
    • 6' Scotland are penalised for a second time in pretty quick succession as they are done for obstruction on CJ van der Linde. Morne Steyn doesn't quite have the length this time, although the direction is spot on, and Scotland are lucky to escape. That was a really sloppy error from the hosts, played out just metres in front of the referee
    • 3' PENALTY! No problem for Morne Steyn as he thumps the ball home from right in front of the posts, just about 20 yards out. He's not going to miss a kick like that too often
    • 2' Scotland are quickly penalised for being off-side, shortly after a pretty solid scrum from the hosts, and Morne Steyn will have an early, fairly leisurely kick at goal
    • 1' Australia's Stuart Dickinson is refereeing today's clash in a very damp Edinburgh as Morne Steyn kicks-off, neating co-inciding with the start of the rain ...
    • 14:29 The national anthems over and done with, we are pretty much ready to go at Murrayfield with the visitors to get things underway in about a minute's time
    • 14:25 We've already talked about Scotland's result last week against New Zealand, but what of South Africa's results so far? After a shockingly poor, by their standards, Tri-Nations campaign, the world champions have enjoyed a stuttering start to their autumn internationals. They snuck a very slim win over Ireland to get things underway two weeks ago and really should have been beaten by Wales, but bounced back to sneak a late win last week
    • 14:22 It's obviously another full day of action in the rugby world with England facing Samoa, Italy taking on Australia. Both of those clashes are taking place right now and later on we've got Ireland against New Zealand and France versus Argentina. All that on top of the fact that last night Wales and Fiji played out a fairly poor draw, poor from Wales point of view anyway. Click here for a full report on last night's clash
    • 14:11 The Springboks have also made changes as Zane Kirchner, Francois Hougaard and Ryan Kankowski are all promoted to the starting XV. Gio Aplon moves from fullback to wing in place of Bjorn Basson, who has been sent home following an injury and a provisional ban after failing a dope test. Chiliboy Ralepelle also testing positive and was sent home so Adriaan Strauss has been named on the bench.
    • 14:06 Scotland have made a few changes to their side, mainly injury-enforced with Joe Ansbro coming in to replace Max Evans, who was stretchered off at the end of last week's clash with a shoulder injury. Rory Lawson will captain the side after Mike Blair suffered concussion. Nikki Walker comes in on the wing in place of Rory Lamont while Scott MacLeod is selected in place of Jim Hamilton on the front row. Nathan Hines comes in a flanker with Kelly Brown switching to number eight for Richie Vernon
